First state of this "carte à figures"- map of Italy produced by Jodocus Hondius Jr. before 1629. The map was separately published and is sometimes found in Willem Blaeu's Appendix of 1630 and 1631. After Jodocus Hondius' death in 1629 the copperplate passed into the hands of Willem Blaeu.
The map is framed on 4 sides by town views and costumed figures and coats of arms
