FAQ

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHAT PRODUCTS WE SELL?

We sell high quality reproductions of old maps, vintage photos, and vintage posters. We have maps of locations from all over the world, covering a range from the 15th century through the early 20th century. Our vintage photo and poster collection is a bit smaller than our map collection, but we wanted to include some of our our favorite vintage photos and posters in our product line. The photos and posters generally come from the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

DO YOU PRINT ALL OF YOUR PRODUCTS?

Yes, we print everything we sell right here in our studio.

DO YOU SELL ORIGINAL OLD MAPS AND PRINTS?

No, we only sell reproductions.

KIND OF MATERIALS DO YOU USE IN YOUR PRINTS?

We use only the highest quality materials in all our products. We always print on Lithorealistic matte paper, acid-free and 100 years of quality guaranteed.

SIZES ARE AVAILABLE FOR YOUR PRODUCTS?

Most of our products are offered in a range of sizes. You will be able to specify the size when you add the item to your shopping cart. When possible, we try to offer sizes that match standard size frames (11"x14", 16"x20", etc.), but since many antique maps and prints were printed with different proportions than modern standard sizes, this is not always possible. If you want to purchase a print in a size that's not listed on our site, please contact us, we may be able to print the item in a different size for you.

DOES THE SIZE LISTED FOR A PRINT INCLUDE A BORDER?

All of our prints come with additional blank borders of 0.2", unless you specify otherwise. The blank border is useful if you plan to frame the print with a mat since it gives sufficient overlap between the print and the mat. If you plan to frame your print without a mat, we can easily omit the borders for you, just include a note when you checkout requesting no borders. The available sizes listed for each print indicate the exact size of the printed area, and do not include the size of the borders. The blank borders we add are in addition to these size.

DO YOU OFFER FRAMING SERVICES?

At this time we do not offer any framing services. All of our prints come without any framing or mounting. i recommend these framers to my US clients:

I like one of your products, but I wish it were darker/lighter/yellower/etc. Can you alter the tone and color of a print?

Absolutely. If you want to alter the color or tone of a print, contact us and let us know what you'd like. In most cases we can make the alteration for free, though if you need something complex we may charge an extra fee for image preparation.
